I CONFESS: That I have yet to work out this year, which doesn’t really bode well for that 5 pound weight loss goal that I mentioned the other day. In my defense I’m sick, but I did make up my mind to at least do a little bit of cardio on my break today. Then my BFF came running into my office with the news of a Ravens playoff pep rally at a local pub right at lunchtime. She is very persuasive and I’m wearing my new purple skinny jeans, so it would pretty much be a crime if I missed that event. Another day to get well, right??
I CONFESS: That I nearly start bawling every time Ray Lewis comes up in conversation. This includes – and is not limited to – conversations with Starbucks baristas when they see my Ravens credit card and tell me that they have tickets to the game on Sunday and how amazing it will be to see him dance out of our tunnel one. last. time. *cue waterworks*
I CONFESS: That my poor child is also sick. She has a bad cold or the flu or the black plague or something (and then subsequently passed it on to me, although my version of it is much less terrible). We went out the other day and this one random kid was sneezing and coughing all over everything and there’s only so much wiping down of all the things I can do at another person’s house without looking like a total psycho. So because she needs to touch and/or eat everything she comes in contact with, I’m pretty sure that’s where she got it. Either way, it’s so horrible and I wish she would get well right this instant. Both for her sake because I know she feels awful and for mine because OMG THE CRANKINESS.
I CONFESS: That our Christmas tree is annoying the hell out of me. We need to take it down, but just thinking about doing that makes me all stressed and aggro and then I start questioning why we even put it up in the first place and WE ARE NEVER HAVING A TREE AGAIN. (Except that of course we are.) Anyway hopefully my husband will feel well enough to help me on Sunday. Oh did I mention he’s also sick? We are SUCH a fun household right now!
I also confess that this was fun. Thanks, Ducky & Aubrey!

I hate that you all are sick. Tis the season I suppose. I confess that my Christmas tree is giving me the same fits. I keep thinking why the F did I put it up this year we weren’t even HOME for Christmas. Truth be told I thought my dad might try to come visit during the weekend we were off. Thankfully he didn’t, we were sick as hell and still battling. GET WELL SOON! I hope yours isn’t as bad as ours!!! ox

Awww…thanks for the shout-out. If you like shoes, then you should come back by tomorrow Shoe Lust Saturday, and my blogger friend Danielle and I just launched Wino Wednesday this week.
I hope you and your baby girl feel better soon. Being sick is no bueno.
We need to take our trees down too…but the indoor one is potted so it just needs to be relocated out of the living room.
Thanks for linking up with Friday Confessional. Have a fabulous weekend!

Hunter has been sick the past few days as well AND he got his 1 year vaccines yesterday so he’s been pretty miserable and not sleeping which makes me pretty miserable. Hope Betty is better soon.

Its a crappy time of year to be sick but my kids luckily get real snugly and lazy which I sortof like b/c I am fairly lazy myself. I also like the excuse to call in to work to stay home with them. I sure hope you get your tree down stat. Its driving me crazy driving down our street and people still have their lights up. Have a great weekend!

allow me to sympathize with you on the whole sick self/sick kid situation. it’s the norm over here. as for the tree? in about 7 years you can go my route….i told hannah to de-ornament the tree and my precious daughter went one step further and took the lights off of it too. i’m thinking we’ll keep her
Ugh, I hope you all feel better soon!

Yup, our tree has turned gray and I still have no plans for getting rid of it yet. Maybe tomorrow?
Also, purple skinny jeans? Love it.
