Nearly a month ago, I posted about the Neiman/Target collaboration known as the Holiday 24 Collection complete with pictures of some fun things that I would LOVE to have, but that sadly aren’t in my current budget. These things were promptly filed away in the ever-expanding vault of “Stuff I Want and Will Never Have”, along with tickets to see The Beatles in concert (for pretty obvious reasons), a white convertible Aston Martin Vantage, an all expenses paid trip to Europe, and an endless assortment of my other pipe dreams.
Well Christmas was coming up – in case you just came out of your December 21st Mayan Calendar Armageddon bunker, it did go on as planned – and people were asking me what I wanted. I never know what to say anymore. I don’t NEED anything (aside from maybe the Aston Martin convertible) and would rather that Betty have nice things. I’m so glad that motherhood changed me in that way.
Anyway, I requested a yoga mat. And I knew I got it pretty much right away because it’s tough to disguise that kind of thing in wrapping paper.
However, imagine my surprise on Christmas when I opened the yoga mat shaped present and saw this!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
It’s the Diane von Furstenberg mat I was spazzing out all over!

Now it is mine. I took it for a test drive at Bikram class on Saturday morning and absolutely LOVE it. The material is a little different than what I’m used to, so my first “Awkward Pose” was a little more awkward than usual, but by the time we were through the balancing series it had become my favorite mat. THANKS, HONEY!! (Just in case you are still reading!)
And I don’t know who went ahead and taught Betty how to read or check the Internet without my consent, but I had a package under the tree from her as well and it contained THIS:
That would be the Marc Jacobs scarf from my Holiday 24 collage that I never thought I’d own.
What can I say? My kid has good taste.
What was on your holiday wishlist?

Aw, I love that your hubs and Betty got you things on your wish list!
Both Match and I bought stuff for the baby. But he also got me the ridiculously comfy and silly pjs, and a label maker. That one makes my OCD heart happy!
I just wanted stuff for Piglet-I think motherhood changed me too.

In case you are still wanting those other items, I believe that a lot if not all of the holiday collaboration collection are now on sale at Target for 50% off…at least most of it was at my local store.
The Beef had me make a board on pinterest so he would know what I wanted for xmas. I think I made it too easy for him, especially considering that he couldn’t give me a single idea. lol
